The 2nd Generation ARC wheels have already proven themselves beyond doubt at the highest levels of professional Road and Triathlon racing. So how do you make an already legendary wheel even better?

Manufactured in DT’s European facility, the 3rd generation ARC 1100 front wheel features a fully proprietary carbon rim developed alongside the Aero research team at Swiss Side and extensively tested at the GST wind tunnel in Germany.

The new rim design sports a 22 mm internal width optimised for 28-30mm tyres in a unique hybrid V-shape. This design enables deeper rims to be used while delivering superior crosswind stability—even compared to previous, shallower models.

The rim construction benefits from advances in DT’s in-house carbon manufacturing, including a further refined carbon lay-up and a perfect ‘out of the mold’ finish, requiring no additional cosmetic veneer. Every rim is internally scanned to check each individual carbon layer before assembly, ensuring impeccable quality.

The result? A weight saving of up to 158 grams per pair versus the previous generation, despite rims that are both wider and deeper.

True to DT Swiss’s reputation for hub engineering excellence, the wheel uses the DICUT 180 hub with a 36-tooth Ratchet EXP and SiNC ceramic bearings. This setup is light, low drag, simple, and just as reliable and easy to service as the legendary 240 hubs.

DT and Swiss Side’s ongoing research into rotational drag and performance improvements has led to the use of premium Aerolite II spokes throughout the wheelset.

The front wheel comes ready for 12 x 100 mm thru axles. Maximum recommended system weight is 110 kg.

As a complete Wheel-Tyre System (WTS), these wheels come equipped with the groundbreaking DT-developed Continental Aero 111 front tyre and GP 5000 STR rear tyre, high-performance TPU tubes, wheel bags, tubeless rim tape, and lightweight tubeless valves. Rear wheels include both Shimano Road and SRAM XDR freehubs.

Warrantied for life against material or manufacturing defects and backed by a 10-year crash replacement program.
